Davey Do's Art Room

You sure are good at this animation thing Davey Do. Thank you for sharing your work with us.
And thank you for your interest, support, and kind words, PeppermintPatty!

It is said, "Practice provides opportunity for possible improvement" and that's how it is with animation. When first learned four years ago, it would take an hour or more to produce a 15 second Claymation animation, and now a 20 second one takes about 10-15 minutes to create.

Learning a systematic approach and short cuts have made the process relatively easy. Now, the most difficult thing about creating animations is the inspiration, getting an interesting idea.

One of the reasons I post these GIFs is for responses, and most of the recent ones were inspired by members' comments.

Again, I thank you.

.... don't think you got away with cloning Maria's head ;):)

I've grown a little tired with doing animations, and am now into personal & historical Journaling, spending time on Archives.org and Newspaper Archives.

Interestingly, there was a priest at the local Catholic church in 1910 who had the same name as my Dad, who was born in 1929.

Do you think....

Nah!

The expressions on the character's faces seem to match whatever mood you create. It's amazing. Thank you.

Oh, but thank you for your interest and kind words, Alizerine!

Concerning the next animation: It would seem that the vast majority of people are Extroverts who believe that Introverts merely need to be shown the Error of Their Ways, something that I've had to deal with my entire life. It's as if they say, "We are like this, and you should be too!"

No. I do not NEED people, kids, social situations, meaningless chatter, noise, parties, or what have you. I have buddies who like to go to a Local Watering Hole, drink beer, and talk to great extent about what interests them like their families, their politics, etc. etc. Where I can spend endless hours by myself in my Art Room or at the Library and I've always been this way! I can be charming & social but prefer not to have to be so.

As a baby, when my parents worked on a house that we were going to move into, Mom said, on numerous occasions, "We could just put you in a cardboard box (I assumed with an open top) and you would be happy as a Lark". Yes! I am self-entertaining and manifested that personality trait even way back then!

Anyway- this animation, and others being considered, are slated toward me being an Eternal Introvert:
