David Gandy... one of the most handsome male models of all time

Thank you @jimintoronto for breaking it all down, that is a very expensive uniform.
You are welcome. The British Army provides the basic kit, such as the dublet jacket, the kilt, the hose tops and the Glenngary cap. But the officer buys the personal items, like the sword, the silver buckles, the sporran pommel, the gold lace, and silver lace. In some cases, the sword is a family heirloom, passed down from one generation to the next. In my old Regiment, the 48th Highlanders of Canada, the Regimental SGT Major's pace stick is passed down to each new RSM. It dates from the original standing up of the Regiment in 1891. Each RSM's name and years of service are engraved on it in Silver. JimB.

Wow, that is amazing, I bet there are some amazing old swords there and I love the idea of RSM's name and years of service being engraved on it, that is some serious history right there.
Thank you so much, Jim, I really appreciate your knowledge on this, and I will be viewing the regiments with a new respect.

You are most welcome. The Royal Australian Regiment's mess silver settings are worth about a half a million AUS dollars. They are only used once or twice a year, for Officer's Mess Dinners. Imagine this one...The carpet in the 48th Highlanders Officer Officers Mess at the Moss Park Armoury is woven wool, in the Regimental tartan, which is the Davidson. In the middle of the room is the Regimental crest, six feet across, in gold thread JimB. .
