Davy Crockett, "King Of The Wild Frontier"

I was a little young to have appreciated the initial run of Crockett-mania, but did inherit a second-hand coonskin hat that my mother eventually threw out when it got mangy-looking. Frontier-types and especially cowboys and lawmen of that era were popular in my youth. I worry about some of the role models that today’s children have.., 🤔

Jim Bowie, which the Bowie knife was named after also died at the Alamo.

Dave’s Crockett, it was every kid’s desire to wear his coonskin hat with the tail hanging off the back of the hat.
