Day two of the new year, and all quiet on the forum posting front, (only 29 days to go!)

My aim of keeping out of any controversy on the forum seems to be going well, (no one appearing to want to take up cudgels with me, and vice versa).

Hey, "controvery and negativity", nah surely not, "we are all people of goodwill here aren't we," (even if we sometimes get our wires criss-crossed!! ).

I'm saving up some list of subjects to chew or eschew, everything from "Breach of Promise", (whatever happened to that protection for jilted lovers, and their hurt feelings and reputations?), to "Shotgun weddings", (not so many of those nowadays, and outraged father's trying to protect their ill used daughters, getting them married off whether they like it or not), and then "What kind of man do you want"?, (a challenge to those who say they wish to find a new partner).

Still, I'm getting ahead of myself, all that can wait, (while peace and quiet gets maintained on all fronts, (at least so far as I'm concerned! ).

Hmmm, maybe a quick look or search for the phrase "taking up cudgels" could have helped explain matters more thoroughly:

I try to avoid cudgels too and it’s pretty easy to do. I wonder how it would be if we were all in person, say in a senior residence of some kind. Would it be easier or harder to get along?

Only you can decide to ignore the desire to foment controversy. As for the rest of us, our minds aren't linked into some over-whelming collective no matter what some may believe. Therefore we'll be fine with whatever you do.

No ban, (so far as I'm aware anyway), just a desire to turn over a new leaf if at all possible.
I've got a good mate, (and former work colleague), who is a dab hand at being diplomatic, even though he's unbelievable rude (and funny), at times when there's no one around who might mind. If I could get anywhere near his level of skill, and method of dealing with things "I'd be made up"!

Almost three weeks into the New Year, and all pretty peaceful on the forum posting front, (amazingly! ).
I could just have discovered something a child might understand too, anyone posting anything that might just get up my nose can be either left be, or else an oblique comments they're unlikely to read posted in response to another forum members innocent post, (call it sneaky if you like, but cant be described as "passive aggressive" can it, at least not directly! ).
