Daydream Cars -- What Is Your Everyday Dream Car?

If you could buy any car you wanted, what would it be? I mean something practical, not a Rolls or a Maserati (unless that is your dream car for everyday use like golf and grocery shopping).I want to seriously start looking for a car, and would appreciate hearing what other people like, and why. Mine would be a compact-to-midsized sedan, with manual transmission (possibly automatic if mid-sized).

This is NOT my practical, everyday dream car, but if I could afford it I would buy one because I could also afford horses to haul with it too --

I've got a very low mileage 2002 Chevy Silverado full size pickup and a high mileage 2003 Chevy Suburban now (along with mamas low mileage 2010 Nissan Murano) but if the good fairy wanted to give me a new Chevy Suburban or GMC Yukon XL I sure wouldn't turn it down..........big ole boys like big toys.

I've got a 1997 Dodge Dakota SLT 4WD. It is in almost like new condition, and I just turned 90,000 miles on it. If it continues to do this well, they might bury me in it. However, if I were in the mood to buy a new truck, my first choice would probably be one of the new Chevy/GMC Colorado/Canyon pickups with the diesel engine. I much prefer the mid-size pickups, as they can do anything I might need to do, and they are small enough to be easy to drive, park, and keep in the garage.

Our primary car is a 2006 Chevy Impala, and it is doing great with only a bit over 55K miles, but I am starting to get the itch, and may think seriously about trading it for one of the new Chevy Malibu's, or a small SUV...perhaps a Ford Escape, within the next year or so.

At our ages, "practical and reliable" take precedence over "fast and fancy".

I want this car back. Mine was redder than this 1955 Pontiac convertible.

Pappy, I had that same car, but mine was red and BLACK. I think it was a '55; first year Pontiac
came out with a V-8 engine.
