Daylight Savings Time - Second Sunday in March

Daylight savings will end for many of you next week but since I live in Arizona I will not have to change my clock. It can be a pain though, mostly minor inconveniences. This Sunday the NFL games start at 10am local time. Next week they will start at 11am local time but I will forget that and turn my Redzone on at 10 am and wonder where all the games are. I have a couple of clients on the East coast and I usually call them at 9am their time every Monday morning which means this Monday I will call them at 6am my time. I will forget about the change the following Monday and they will be getting the call from me at 8am their time.

So, since of course the world revolves around me, can you all do me a huge favor and get your states to end daylight savings time so I do not have such minor inconveniences ? Just kidding of course but it will take a couple of days to remember that I will be in MST zone instead of PST time zone. Very similar to forgetting to writing in the correct year on a check after the New Year.

Emailed my congressman twice now in support of a return to year-around standard time. In my mind it's called "standard" for a reason. Got the usual boring non-committal boilerplate reply. Feeling he'll go with the flow and vote to enact year-around daylight saving time.

Read only yesterday Mexico has gone to standard time year around. Exception being areas bordering on the U.S. They'll continue to observe the ST/DST time change as long as the U.S. does.

There are times I feel like setting all my clocks to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or Coordinated Universal Time or Zulu Time or whatever the current buzz phase is for world time these days. Be done with this ongoing frustration with what the heck time is it anyway. Clock in my workshop stays on standard time year around.
