Just finished setting most of my clocks an hour ahead, easy on the digitals this time, just a forward click to the next hour.

My state is currently deciding whether to continue participating in the time changes every year. I personally hope we decide on just staying on the same time (daylight savings) all year. This may be the last time we change times. I don't see much point (never did) in going back and forth. Just upsets your biological clock and makes it get dark so early in the wintertime.

Did mine way too early this morning. Between individual room thermostats, wall clocks, appliances, etc., it takes a bit, but they're all done. Big day ahead and couldn't sleep. Here in MA they are considering doing away with daylight savings.

I agree with Butterfly. I don't see the point of changing back and forth.
What is the reason? It was darker this morning when we got up with DST.
I would like to stay on standard time and no springing ahead and falling back.

Well my grandmother was convinced the days were one hour longer all summer, when they changed the clocks in spring. I guess she was not a morning person.

Arizona stays on Mountain Standard Time all year, except for the Navajos up in the northeastern corner of the state, who go to Daylight time.

I like daylight time better because there's more light in the evening. When it gets dark so early it feels like the day is over too soon and for some reason I get lazier.

Back when I was working I hated the fact that it was pitch dark by the time I got home.

I prefer DST also and wish we could just stay on it year round. Someone explained to me that the reason we change to EST in the fall is because it would be too dark for school kids going to school. But since kids don't walk anywhere anymore because it isn't safe to do so, I don't see why we don't just switch permanently.

That was tried in the UK in the 60s but they reverted to the old system after a few years, mainly because the mornings were too dark in winter for kids going to school. Primary school kids around here still walk to school.

It was talked about more recently that we stay on European time. I love summer here as it's light out until 11pm in my part of Scotland.

I grew up on a dairy farm and the cows did not know anything about clocks we never changed out clocks in the barn and milked at the same time each day....yes, when we did go away we had to make sure we had the correct time on our wrist watch, yes we missed some things.....then again we did not go many places....

LOL. When I was a kid I asked my uncle why he never took a vacation. He said " Because those GD cows don't know what a vacation is!" :D
