Dean Martin on The Tonight Show....1975

My family loved Dean and we never missed one of his shows. No matter what we had to do on a Thursday night we wouldn't do anything until we watched Dean's show. One of my happiest memories of Dean was when my Mom got to see Dean in person. I bought her flowers to give him. When she handed them to an usher he told her she had to give them to Dean. So she went up to him on stage and gave him the flowers. He hugged her and kissed her. She was thrilled. When she went back to her seat she kissed my Dad and said "Now I have kisses from the only 2 men I ever loved." Many years later when her memory wasn't good she still remembered kissing Dean.
 

I remember him being a cowboy in the Sons of Katie Elder with John Wayne. Loved him, with Jerry Lewis, in their movies.

Yes, does remind me that I'm almost 70.
 
I am the same age as you Jim ( slightly younger)... I never saw that show, we didn't get it in our country, but honestly even if we had, I wouldn't have been home to watch it... :D
 
Wasn’t a big fan but he was funny, I think I preferred Bob Hope at the time.

Also Johnny Carson was the best!!

I don’t watch any of the late night shows...They all suck!
