I don't like scooping your steaming poop. Makes me wish for a cat.

It's hard to walk you on cold winter days when the temps are freezing and the wind chill is below zero and we're surrounded by eleven feet of snow.

Dino, I wouldn't trade you for a million$$$! Even though you won't let me eat my dinner without wagging your tail
and looking at me with those big eyes waiting for a handout. But you bark when anybody comes to the front door
and guard the premises just as though you were a full grown Doberman Pinscher and not a mini.

Dear dog.

You're loyal. You defend me. You're better than most people. In your eyes I see the love of the century so why would I look elsewhere?

Oops, Mister purring cat has just walked in. Dear dog. Play nice. There's room for both my loves on my couch.
 
My dogs are rescue dogs and I often wonder... who rescued whom? Yes, just like kids will do, they get on my last nerve sometimes. But little dogs that were once thrown away and unloved are now happy and healthy. And that's all that matters.

My dog is a rescue too, but he sure ain't little. ;)






 
Dear Dog
I am still troubled by images of your last hours of life. I will never know of the pain you may have suffered, or the feelings you may have had while you waited for us to return to you. I will feel forever sorry that I could not have been by your side quicker. I love you and miss you each and every day.
