Yes.
People who have families & abuse drugs & alcohol are incredibly selfish. They're putting their loved ones through hell. The families have to deal with the legal & financial problems, as well as the illness & early death that comes with such stupidity. And the constant stress.
Talent doesn't make up for that.
It's risky enough to take drugs you need from a doctor's prescription. Taking drugs bought from a street dealer? Beyond stupid.
