What did people say to the DelMonte's when they announced they were going into the food preservation business? (for those that don't know - DelMonte is an American brand of tinned foods, especially vegetables).

Off track but I was a pea inspector for DelMonte in Appleton WI.

When the farmer was asked what he did with all his vegetables, he replied, "We eat what we can and what we can't, we can." I guess the DelMonte's felt the same way.

I guess everyone gave up. The answer is, "Can the corn." (American slang for 'stop talking nonsense').
