I'm having problems with my denture glue, I use Poli Grip, the pink stuff, and for several months I keep having difficulties getting the glue to come out of
the spout/tip....it is due to the glue getting a "hard glob" down in the tube...but I don't know what to do about it....any ideas, anyone else have this issue??

I would call the company. The stuff we use everyday is made all over the world. Quality can be different.

Also about 15 years ago I bought my usual hair conditioner at Walmart. It came out of the tube in a thicker consistency than I had previously. I called the company to see if they changed the formula. I was told no and she asked for the price code on the tube. That was it. About an hour later another person from the hair care company called me and asked more questions. He told me the tube I had was not made by them and was a counterfeit. They sent me a mailer so I could send them the tube. They also sent me 3 tubes of the real stuff!

I just saw that this product is made in Ireland....grrrr...guess
USA can't even make denture glue anymore!! Going to try
and find a web site......:cautious:

I have an upper denture that due to the shape of my gums, doesn't really require me to use a denture cream. But we got it free from GSK when we did dental studies for them. So I was going to use it for extra safety. My dentist at the time said "don't use that stuff". That was when they found a harmful ingredient in the cream...I forgot what it was. If you need to use it, I suggest adding a little water and letting it sit long enough for the water to soften it up. Then use a sterile needle or toothpick to dig out the hard parts. What's underneath should be the right consistency.

I do use a toothpick when this happens, but , like today,
I could not get the "glob" out of the tube!! Aggravating!!!

I use the powder Poli Grip, much prefer it to slime.

I use Fixodent which is sold by Procter & Gamble. The box says it is made in India. No problems.

I only use it on the upper denture. The lower snaps on to implanted posts.

When I had partials I used Secure which I got from Amazon, worked well.

Most glues, including Elmers, have that issue
Not getting the cap sealed airtight seems a cause

I buy livestock syringes by the dozen, and transfer my glues once opened
and jam a nail into the opening between uses

Prior to getting my implants I used PolyGrip denture cream. Cleaning the PolyGrip out of my dentures every day clogged up my sink drain!
