Dentures...do you have them...are they OK?

I'm not following this. The part in bold was copied from my post #22. My concern is a cancer on the gum, not a general gum disorder from dentures that don't fit right. The partial does not go over where I have the spot on my gum. The partial is on the bottom, the spot on my gum is on the upper.
You may need to find a good Oral Surgeon.
You quoted/posted, I never seen 'black spot' seen on the photo.

In my case, back in my 40s, bleeding issue of a part of my Gum was caused by an arrasive toothbrush used for years(I was young, not care about my teeth). Even that problem costed me quite a bit. Any dental work is expensive, as we all know it.

Hopefully, a good outcome, .... not cancer about which you're worrying.

Thanks for your encouragement, Amanda. I go tomorrow afternoon.

DH used Fixodent for years I rejected the whole idea because I thought it was slimy. One day not too long ago I needed a quick fix and was out of the powder I used. He gave me his "slime", and to my surprise it wasn't slimy, and in fact worked very well. It is all I use now, and I like it more than the old powder. I love my dentures, because we had a great denturist, and I never have to see another dentist again!

That’ shouldn’t be even legal. The stuff doctors and dentists got away with back then was horrendous. I’m not sure how old you are but when we were kids we ate a lot of candy, especially me.

I loved those slow pokes, caramel apples, toffee candy. They caused cavities. No surprise there . One year I had 3 huge cavities so my parents told our dentist to not give any freezing so from that day we had to get cavity drillings down with no freezing.

My parents thought it would stop us from eating so much candy but we ate it anyway. In fact, I ate more than ever and had many fillings come out. I’ also started keeping some of the Sunday School money to buy ‘more’ toffee candy. I became a rebel early. 😈lol
Don’t take this seriously, but this post is somewhat funny. I have always had trouble chewing taffy or caramels. I liked Carmel apples, but for some reason, so much of this item stuck on my teeth and it took a few hours for my mouth to finally get rid of it by maybe body temperature. I don’t know exactly how it would get off my teeth, but I knew it took over an hour until it released from my teeth, it was very uncomfortable.

If I took a date to the county fair or a carnival, I avoided buying anything caramel or taffy. I also had trouble with cotton candy sticking to my face. I took one young lady to a carnival and she wanted some cc. I bought her the large size and she offered me some, but as I said, I turned it down. She took a big swab off of her cc and shoved it towards my mouth, but I tried to block her arm and it went all over my face, eyebrows and anything else in its way.

I had a heck of a time cleaning it off. Maybe the skin on my face has some wax in it to help retain that stuff. I was still a mess even after I cleaned off as much as I could.
