Denver's Crazy Temperature Drop

DENVER (CBS4) – Thursday evening before midnight, the temperature in Denver dropped to a record low of 13 degrees. The previous day the city came close to a record high with 83 degrees. This difference of 70 degrees in just 2 days is tied for second largest temperature change in Denver since 1872 when records began.

Yup, I talked to my Sister in Arvada...on the west side of Denver....today, and she said they got 2 inches of snow on top of that huge temperature drop. However, true to form, the temperature will be back up into the mid 70's, by Sunday. One thing nice about Denver is that when the temperatures drop, or they get a good snowfall, the sun comes back out the next day, and warms things up nicely. That same cold front came through here today, and dropped our temps by at least 50 degrees....we should have our first frost tomorrow morning.

Yes terry123 but summer is looming and makes a comeback this coming week but at least we wont see the 90's (hopefully).

That's what we are hearing, no 90's, I am thankful for that. At least the electric bill will go down a little.

Finally got a taste of fall today!! Us Houstonians needed it!

Haha. I went to Kroger yesterday, wearing capris and sandals. Everyone in the store was all bundled up in jackets like the north pole. (It was about 60 degrees and sunny.)

I was in HEB in capris too and felt under dressed!
