Another favorite movie actor of mine Denzel Washington is 64 today
His best known TV role is
"Dr.Phillip Chandler' in NBC medical drama,'St. Elsewhere' '82-'88,loved that show
I haven't seen all of his movies,a couple favorites:
"Glory' 89-America's 1st unit of black soldiers fighting in the Civil War
"Much Ado About Nothing' '93
"Philadelphia' '93
"Training Day'01
Denzel has won 2 Academy Awards:
best supp actor for'Glory
Best Actor for 'Training Day'
 

Training Day is one of my favorite movies. It has Denzel Washington, and Ethan Hawke, which are two of my favorite actors. I like Unstopable a lot too. And Devil in a Blue Dress which is a 1940's noir period piece.


 

Philadelphia and the Hanks/Washington duo was absolutely amazing.

Another one of my faves....damn I can't remember the name. Movie Queen, he starred with Julia Roberts, and Sam Shepard was also in it? Do you know which one I'm talking about??
 
The Pelican Brief!! That's it, thank you apple cruncher!! Ooooh, there's another one....Bone something? I think Angela Jolie was in it maybe? He was a paraplegic.
 
He’s an artist

He can be the most despicable bad guy….yet somehow charming, in the most contemptable way
And, of course, he can be the best of a good guy, doing in, or just showing up the bad guys
But his good guy image always has a gritty edge

He has the uncanny talent to turn a so so movie into one to watch

We have Training day
It has its special place in our library of movies (I think we now have around 500 DVDs/VHS)
Last enjoyed The Book of Eli

The Hurricane (played one of my heroes)
Of these, Training Day is a huge contender for numero uno

Need I say I'm a fan?

Hi Ronnie,the movie you're referring to is'The Bone Collector' '99 based on Jeffrey Deaver book.Denzel's character is a quadriplegic.Jolie plays a cop.
I read the book,enjoyed it. Sue
 
My favourite Denzel movie is Malcolm X .. I just adore the man. He is in a small category of who I consider "good actors".
