Deutsche Bank: Germany's Bubble? Said No Bailouts For Banks.

WhatInThe

Germany said no bailout for troubled bank Deutsche Bank or any other lender/bank for that matter. DB has some of the same troubles that tanked many US banks, lenders, investors etc that include bad loans. Also included in DB debt are fines and penalties for misselling loans, rate rigging, money laundering etc. They owe the US 14 BILLION dollars in fines.

Too Big To Fail Even In Deutsche Land

Deutsche Bank is about to get a break from the US after the US Justice Department is thinking about reducing a penalty/ settlement by over 60%. The initial numbers were a fine of over 14 BILLION dollars will probably be reduced to around 5 billion dollars for misselling mortgage backed securities.

At the same time Deutsche Bank is on the verge of collapse with a tanking stock price some are blaming on the US fine. They also said the fine reduction might save them.

So too big to fail applies to German banks as well. So much for being tough on corrupt banks and bankers.
