Didn't..but'in the news'
Tom Brady's (ultra-expensive) almost $800,000 Gold watch
with 48.92 carats of yellow sapphires, 1.32 carats of white diamonds
424 gems including emeralds and rubies

What do you think of the extravagance?

Disgusted by his watch. Years ago he would be a "sissy" for wearing that. Totally disgusted. Not saying he didn't earn it, or deserve it. Greatest quarterback. Rich people should treat themselves well, but this was too much for me in a public venue. It was a big F U to the public.

Honestly and interestingly (to me) ... I DID notice the watch he was wearing AND I wondered what kind of watch it was. I figured a sports watch of some kind, given his former career in sports. I noticed it because of the unusual color of the watch as it appeared on national TV. I thought at the "time", I've not seen a watch of that color before ... and it's ugly.

The images I saw when I noticed the watch, were normal broadcast images not specifically featuring a watch of all things at the "time". Only the following day was I surprised to learn how expensive and ornate the watch is. I had thought it was a relatively cheap sports watch, probably made of a colored resin. I still think it's ugly. But what do I know.

At this stage of life I'm trying to simplify things. I put my watch in a drawer and now just look at my phone if I have to check the time. Brady can do what he wants, he doesn't strike me as the deepest of rivers. I was impressed by Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley, though, as they both seemed to be very substantive people.

A watch nowadays is simply a fashion/ status statement as everyone has the time on their phone.

Personally, I don't do watches, rings, necklaces...etc. This temple is pure as the driven snow! :)

In my opinion, anyone who wastes money on that scale for such silly Narcissistic novelties when there are millions of starving children in the world should have their balls deflated.
Kind of like what my first thought was... but not quite so graphic and descriptive. 🤭 My first thought was about all the homeless and hungry people he could have fed for $800K. @Axel Slingerland

I'm not so sure he even owns the watch. The company that made it may have it out on loan to him for publicity.
And if he does own it, he may have gotten a deal on it ... for publicity

One of the perks of being famous.
If I wore that watch, it wouldn't be headline news ... well maybe locally ... nah

I have never worn a watch in my life as not into jewelry but did carry a cheap Disney pocket watch which worked for ever with a few battery changes , imagine looking like Charlie Brown as a kid and carrying a pocket watch , either way after decades I lost it while fishing canals 4 years ago and never got another one .

If I was a billionaire I would still never wear such an audacious watch as simply not my personality .
