Maybe you live in the area or visit sometimes. Everything in the UK has so much history.
Do you have Plymouth Gin stocked in your bar?
2500 people work at the Naval base.
I come from Tasmania and so many Tasmanian towns have British names.
Some being Beaconsfield, Bellingham, Bishopsbourne, Blackwall, Brighton, Deddington, Devonport, Kempton, Kettering, Launceston, New Norfolk, Orford, Richmond, Sheffield, Somerset, Westbury, Melton Mowbray.
My home town, Queenstown was named after Queen Victoria.

I didn't work there but my ex husband was based there. while he was serving aboard ship in the Royal Navy .... and we lived in Married quarters in Devonport Plymouth next to the Tamar bridge , and also in Cornwall not far from Launceston.

Kettering is just an hour or so north from where I live now .... Richmond is the other side of London....Beaconsfield is a lovely little town , I visit often, about an hour from here..I have many pics of Beaconsfield Canals and boats... Melton Mowbray is 75miles away... Norfolk is just an hour and a half East ( and lots of Boating there too) .... Somerset is 160 miles away... Brighton 100 miles away and is a seaside resort I visit often... ...the furthest is Sheffield, which is somewhere up North

You would feel right at home visiting Tasmania.
