Did you/do you have a favorite Easter candy?

My grandmother used to make "bird nests" out of coconut and fill them with jelly beans. I loved them. She also gave each of us a chocolate-covered egg with a fruit and nut filling. I still have a fondness for them covered with dark chocolate.

Then there are Cadbury eggs. They're too sweet for me, but I love the commercials

My DSIL has a weakness for Peeps and instructs DD to get them in every color.

Oh yes... hollow bunnies. The ears *must* come off first! Actually anything chocolate was a favorite... Lil' Kate used to trade her jelly beans and marshmallow peeps for the siblings' chocolate goodies.

I prefer dark chocolate but I will put up with milk chocolate if it is stuffed with peanut butter.

I don't like too sweet things. Maybe the little malted milk eggs with thin chocolate layer and thin candy coating.

I'd forgotten about malted milk eggs. I like the ones that are coated like robin eggs.

Zitner's Dark Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Easter Eggs. Not just any marshmallow egg, it has to be Zitner's. Sadly, unfortunately, tragically, I can't find them anymore.

I prefer dark chocolate but I will put up with milk chocolate if it is stuffed with peanut butter.

I prefer dark chocolate, too, but I haven't been able to find any dark chocolate covered Easter eggs that are stuffed with peanut butter. So, Zitner's Milk Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Eggs are the ones I buy. If you love peanut butter, they're yummy.

Remember the big hard-sugar Easter eggs that had a window you'd look through to see the scene inside the egg? Technically,, they were "edible" but I can't imagine that hard sugar was that tasty.

They'd just sit out on a table until the humidity got to work on them or the ants finished them off.
