Did you ever go camping? How much did you like it? How much didn't you like it?

We started camping with a tent in 1969. We quickly learned that with a popup trailer we were up off the ground and had real mattresses on the beds, so in 1970 we had one. Over the years there were 8 popups and 3 VW campers. After retirement there were small travel trailers. When we moved back to Florida 5 years ago we decided we were getting old enough (80 & 79) to stay home, so we sold the last trailer to a nice young couple. Our travels took us to Nova Scotia, Cabo san Lucas, British Columbia and a number of other places.

I've done tent, popup, hard shell, and cabin camping over the years. When the pull-along campers were consuming lots of money but sitting largely unused in the yard, I divested myself of them and now just do cabin camping, sadly on rare occasions...

I do remember 'camping'. I rented a Winnebago and went to a provincial park with my wife and son.
It was one of the most relaxing ventures ever. We went back about three times.

One day I'm going to go back but this time I will be alone. My wife is gone and my son is grown up and has his own son.

We went to blue lake provincial park. It was just great. There was a store there and every morning they would bake donuts and the smell would waft over the campgrounds. I used to walk there and pick up a dozen and distribute them to the kids on the beach on the way back.

I absolutely love camping, it really restores peace to your soul.
There is nothing like it. My favorite places were Lady's Well, Fryingpan creek, and the Barrington top.
It was so much fun, the kids loved going spotlighting at night and learning how to fish for rainbow trout in the cool river waters.
I really miss it.
