Did You Ever Meet Famous Musicians?

Well, he was more actor than musician, but David Soul had a few albums out & a hit song - "Don't Give up on us," (I think).
He walked into a restaurant & my date just HAD to get his autograph. He was nice; he wrote "To Andrea, much joy" on a napkin.

I worked until I retired in TV and film as a researcher. I've met many famous musicians in my time in the course of my work, but the one I met in my 'own time'...was one I wasn't expecting.

I was just 22 and before I got into TV and film... and working part-time in the cinema as an Usherette in London. I had reason to drop into the Head projectionists home one day to drop something off, and there sitting large as life at the kitchen table was none other than my own Passion at the time.. the gorgeous Bryan Ferry ..My god, I nearly fainted!! He was wearing a very long leather coat.. and green boots.. I believe he was very involved with Jerry Hall at the time.
he said Hi..I returned the greeting, but I couldn't speak after that..I wanted to act really cool like it meeting famous people was something I did every day and it was no big deal..LOL>.. but in reality I didn't know what to say.. I was stumped for words, and in total awe..:ROFLMAO: Given my job in later years , I find it funny that I could have been so silly , but that was my first meeting with Bryan Ferry...

I have another story about meeting Gerry Rafferty (he of the huge hit Baker street) , and Billy Connolly, when I was just 18 and they both sang to me .. but I'll leave that 'till later :D

Oh @hollydolly I would have died on the spot meeting Bryan Ferry! He is so cool, and I love his music and his voice and what a good looking man, too! You're so lucky to have met him and I bet you acted so nonchalant! (y) 🌹

I was in a park and Marilyn Monroe sang to me, "I wanna be loved by you", she then ripped all my clothes off and had her wicked way with me.......................of course, I'm lying through me teeth, but what a fantastic fantasy. 😊

My husband worked at Thames television , and met lots of actors and musicians ,
I worked at the Warehouse Theatre and also met lots of musicians

We sat next to Chris De Burgh on a plane to the Caribbean a few years back .....

I also knew Mungo Jerry All personally well.....and dated one of them in the early 80s..

Flying Burrito Brothers, but it can't really count because a friend in college was friends with one of them and convinced them to do a private concert for a bunch of his friends at the college cafe. Ultra small venue. Anyway, we were all so f***ed up, including the Brothers, that I only have a dim recollection of the event, but I can tell you it did take place.
