Did you ever remember crying when any celebrities died?

If one of my favorite TV/movie actor or actress I've liked over the yrs has died,I'll shed a few tears
e.g this yr when Brian Dennehy died

I was a huge Buddy Holly fan and the guys teased me mercilessly when he died but no tears from me. Ironically, I was more stunned when newcomer Richie Valens perished in that same crash. I suspect it was because his song "Donna" which was popular at the time was my favorite song and remained my favorite throughout the remainder of teen years. But no tears for him either.

I don't recall crying over any human but I did cry over a faithful old cat.
I may have been shocked and saddened, but never shed a tear. But when my cat, Mikey was put down, I cried like a baby. I was consumed with grief. I called into work and asked for the day, as a 'sick" day. They said yes. Most firms would have said "for a cat", buck up and get your butt in here. I worked in a psychiatric hospital, and thankfully they understood. It doesn't depend on what your loss is, it depends on your love for it.

This is profound @fuzzybuddy! ❤️

Tom Petty.....didn't cry since I didn't know him personally, (but, his music I do, do, do), more like a pit in my stomach when I heard he passed. :(
The best!

My animals that have passed....yes, cried for days, sad forever; a knife in my heart.

No tears, but deep sadness over the deaths of Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman. It always touches me deeply when people commit suicide due to severe depression, as I have struggled with depression for most of my life.

Like others here, I've cried over the death of my beloved pets, and grieved a long time over them.

From a young age I was mad about the group T.Rex following the career of Marc Bolan, the lead singer, tragically killed in a car accident on my birthday 43 years ago, I certainly cried over that...

No tears for celebrities, no matter how bad I feel about it. Sad movies don’t make me cry either.

I’m not prone to tears nor is one of my DD. The other will sob about almost anything.

It’s a shame that some of the celebrities died, especially those that were young or younger and talented. John Candy, Bobby Hatfield, Gary Coleman, Kurt Cobain and Corey Haim come to my immediate mind. There are many more, but too many to list. I could also add a list of athletes that died too young and had great skills.

The only people that I shed tears over were my parents and 1 Aunt.

It has been my opinion for the most part that these ‘celebrities‘ are less important to me than my doctor and plumber. That’s not meant to sound mean, but honest.
