Did you ever serve on Jury Duty

We knew the guy was guilty but could not convict because the girl ran away with her boyfriend. The defense was ludicrous.
 

Called and served once in ...1995?
3 day trial, accused was acquitted.
Interesting piece of information...In Australia a juror is paid $60 a day and their employer makes up the difference to their base rate.
If the juror's base rate was $200 a day, the employer would pay $140.
Tax free.
At least that was my experience. Paid 3 days wages, untaxed.
Are jurors in other countries paid?
