Did you ever shoplift as a kid?

Yes. Many a time. When I was 16 I was on the adventure of my life. I took a self guided tour of the United States by whatever means necessary. Many was the time a stolen can of sardines was my sustenance. I also killed and ate pigeons and squirrels.
 
I really had no need to shoplift ,if we were hungry , which was quite often due to growing with alcoholic parents, we would go to the shop and they would give us a pie or pasty ..I still remember the lady who gave us food, and her name to this day even though she passed away quite a few years ago.
 
As a kid, heck no, my Mother would have somehow found out! As an Adult, well, that's another story. She found out about that one, too, the BIG one!

What is the Statute of Limitations on something like this? :(
