How did he handle the kids, meaning, did they know? I had friends who hid from their kids like they hid from their parents, and I never hid from my son. I was the boss in this instance, and unashamed. I never thought it was wrong. I also told my son "I don't want you doing any drugs till you're at least 18 and in college; only do pot, it's safest; AND, if you do anything I will always know because I've seen it, done it, and you can't fool me."

He never smoked in the house and never around the kids. They didn't know until they were in high school, and by that time they had all tried it themselves (but not in our presence). As far as I know none of them smoke or use it as adults, though.

I’m so surprised C’est Moi. You have to be one of the most mature logical people here whom I would have assumed wouldn’t have tolerated this in the least.

How wrong I can be in my judgments (assumptions)

He's the best person I have ever known, Keesh. As for tolerating; I try not to judge people with preconceived notions. (I let them show me who they are.)

I googled to find out what is the difference between pot and hashish, and read about a form called "Skunk", but no one has mentioned it here. Why is it called Skunk, is it because it has a strong smell? I never used pot, but did smell it when I sold at the swap meet a few times.

Never tried it. I knew that I would be asked this same question when I took my polygraph before joining the state police, so I avoided all drugs, even the drugs that I was given a prescription for when I hurt my back while in high school playing sports.

Here's the question they asked while I was wired up for the poly: "Have you ever taken any street drugs, cannabis or prescription narcotics?"
