Did you have a love song that you and your intended adopted?

It seems every couple had one whether they made the long haul of marriage and ever after or not. "Moon River" did it for me and mine. What did it for you and yours?

"Our" song was The Sounds of Silence because when we were dating, every time they would play this song on the radio and we both liked it. So, we called it "our song". Now, "my song" was Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers and it still is. Each time that song would play, he would say, "There's your song" and there wouldn't be another word said until that song finished.

No, as a couple we never had a song, but have liked many songs around the time we met, especially Bridge Over Troubled Water and A Whiter Shade a of Pale.

"Scotland the Brave" Lol! One of our first dates was an American tour by the Scots Guards at Madison Square Garden. We picked up a record of it. It got played a lot after we were married. Not too good as a romantic ballad though!

The day I met my Husband we danced to the song "Running Scared" by Roy Orbison. He said to me that I fit perfectly in his arms. So from that moment on I fell in love with him and we danced to that song at our wedding.

Kitty Kallen's 1954 hit, "Little Things Mean a Lot". We were married in 1956 and years later our kids made a DVD for us on our 50th wedding anniversary. They used that tune a background throughout.

My best friends dance to "Remember When" whenever it comes on the radio despite what each other may be doing. The lyrics celebrate life's journey as a couple.
