Dinner Time?

Since I am "new", I hope this has not been discussed to death already. What is your normal evening meal time? When my husband and I both worked, I did not get home until after 5:00 PM and he was later. So our evening meal was around 7:00 PM. And even now after retirement, we are still in that habit of eating around the same time. I have noticed that a lot of "older" people tend to eat around 4:30 or 5:00 PM. That seems really early to me. I would have to have a major snack before bedtime and that would not be good for me!

I eat around 7also. I am not always hungry earlier. We can do what we want now!

I tend to get up later now, which means a late breakfast, then a late lunch. So dinner time is usually about 7.30-8.00pm

We eat a late breakfast around 10:30 AM, so we don't eat lunch, then we have dinner between 5-6 PM.

Drives me nuts...typically we eat around 7pm. Hubby is off two nights a week and because he works nights dinner is typically after the place closes. I don't say anything but by 10pm I'm ready to eat a cat.

We eat dinner at 5. Husband never snacks after dinner and I try not to. We eat breakfast between 7 and 7:30 normally. Lunch about noonish.

No specific time. Don't really eat a meal either. Just grab something whenever I'm hungry, and more often when I'm not. Usually skip breakfast. Just never hungry first thing in the morning. Only coffee or tea.

Breakfast is around 8:00 these days, lunch right around noon and with dinner we now eat between 5:00 and 6:00. For years when I was working we seldom ate dinner before 7:00. Feels much better eating dinner earlier.

I have no schedule either like Nancy and just base it on hunger. What I'm enjoying most about semi-retirement (I have a freelance online part-time job that has no schedule) is sleeping in so that bumps eating out a bit later. I've never been able to eat breakfast, although occasionally I'll have toast with my beloved coffee if I've found some great bread at a local bakery. The one thing I stick to though is not eating after 8:00 pm, which I find helps me sleep much better.

Any time between 4 PM and & 7; When Jeopardy comes on.

Same here, Falcon. You know how it is as a pilot. I would eat anytime between 4-7, or whenever the flight attendants would serve first class and/or business class their dinner. I would eat what they were having, unless it was some high calorie fat food. I especially liked flying the Chicago-Honolulu route. We generally had barbecued pork or grilled chicken.

I'm retired and live alone so have no set times for anything really, but unless I've been out for lunch, usually eat dinner around 6

I eat breakfast right around 5 a.m. seven days/week. Try to eat lunch between 11 a.m. and noon. Supper depends on the day, but usually between 5 and 6 p.m. I'm usually in bed between 9 and 10 p.m. When home, wife and I often have an ice cream "drumstick" midway through the evening. When on the road, I'll snack on 'Twizzlers' or unsalted peanuts. Right now, have an open can of Habanero BBQ Almonds on my desk for snacking.

We eat between 5 and 6 pm. 8:30 pm we usually have ice cream. Lately I've been having my snack a bit earlier. We go to bed about 10 pm and I sleep better if there isn't to much in my stomach.

No set time here. I usually have something started or just requiring a heat-up when GS comes home from work and/or anyone is hungry. He works different hours depending on the day of the week, so any degree of routine doesn't exist. I eat when I feel hungry.

we eat our dinner at 3:00 pm since my husband has stomach problems and rests better at night. I would prefer around 4:30 if it were up to me.

I have no set time for my meals. I usually don't eat 3 meals a day, usually 2 and then snack on some fruit.
