Dippity Do hair tutorial

It's still available. I tried hair gels long ago, thinking they would add fullness or volume. They took too long to dry and made the hair stiff and all stuck together. My hair, about the length of where it touched the top of a shirt collar, stuck up and out in the back like a board instead of laying down. Not good.

It's definitely still around. I have a tube of it sitting on my bathroom counter right now. I actually like it.

Back in the day, I also used this stuff called Jo-Cur something-or-the-other. It came in a glass wide-mouthed bottle and it was a cross between a liquid and a gel. You dipped your comb in it and combed it through wet hair. That stuff would make your hair hard enough to withstand a direct nuclear hit....I swear.

I wear my hair tight on the sides and a little hair on top that I comb. I use a few spritzers of hairspray. I live along the coastline and it’s always windy here.
I have the barber do a #2 clipper on the sides, and just tell her to make the top blend smoothly, usually ends up being a #4 or #5.

A trim every 4 weeks would be ideal, but I dislike going to the barber, so it ends up being more like 6-8 weeks, which causes my head to look wild and shaggy.

That wild and shaggy look is always in style. I see it every time I go to the mall and all the mall lizards are hanging out. They used to pull their hoods up, but they aren’t allowed to anymore. The mall put a sign up stating that if anyone pulls their hoods up, they will be shown the door. It’s a different environment here in Florida. The mall uses armed security. They don’t tolerate smash & grab on the glass cases.
