Disco for Seniors?

The senior's group leader announced that for the next meeting, we're going to have a DJ visit for a disco/60's dance party. I am having trouble understanding the logic of that since a fair number of members have mobility issues or are widowed (no dance partner). I can just picture that when they get up to boogie. We also made "faux" tie-died t-shirts to wear for the event. Here's my creation:

Also, since it's on Good Friday and the leader said we'd be having hot dogs for refreshments, kinda a bad choice on the day since some people can't eat meat on Good Friday.

Love the shirt deb. Reminds me of the tie dyed shirts from a few years back. Maybe they will have music and routines that all can join in doing like the video. If not I'd like to be a fly on the wall. Maybe they will have a veggie dog available.

Nice tee Deb, and it sounds like a fun time! People can dance alone or with others even if they're widowed, plenty of times women will dance with each other if there's no available men around. Enjoy yourself! I couldn't eat meat on Fridays when I was a kid, being raised Catholic, but I thought they did away with all that since then.

The music doesn't have to be fast debodun, the
DJ could be asked to play some slower numbers,
if he regularly visits senior places then he will be
OK and you will all be up dancing the night away.

Mike.
