Dish washing questions.

"I saw on Youtube that in the States, they rinse dishes, after washing with soap, but in the UK, they don't rinse the dishes after cleaning with soap. Is that true?"
I think so. I went and stayed with a friend who lives in the southern part of England for several weeks back in 2015. She watched me wash the dishes one evening and was intrigued that I rinsed them afterward. She said "That's rather ingenious, isn't it?" pip pip
Some of us, (those UK residents like myself polishing my halo), do rinse after hand washing the dishes, (or "pots" as some of us call them!).
My "then missus" trained me to do this, and it stuck, so I feel pretty superior to the oicks who don't. :)

I wash my dishes by hand in the sink. Had a dishwasher many years ago when I was living in an apartment, and I didn't care for it at all. I use Dawn, buy a big bottle at Costco and refill my small bottle with it, sometimes I add just a little water to thin it out. I just tried their new fragrance, I think it's honeysuckle.....very nice!

I don't have a dishwasher so by hand for me. I put dirty dishes in a dishpan during the day and after supper I wash them all. I don't usually have very many unless I had company. I only use Dawn and let them air dry.

"Finally, I saw on Youtube that in the States, they rinse dishes, after washing with soap, but in the UK, they don't rinse the dishes after cleaning with soap. Is that true?"

I just saw that video too and wondered about whether it was true.

Just think about the double superior feeling you'll get when the oicks who don't rinse develop organ damage due to cumulative soap ingestion, because they're saving on a little rinse water.

We call them "pots" here, too. "Pots and pans".
