[h=2]Universal Orlando did the same thing today. SOB...

You've got to pay more to play in the Magic Kingdom, because Walt Disney just raised its ticket prices again, breaking the $100 mark.[/h] A one-day ticket to the Walt Disney World Resort's flagship theme park, the Magic Kingdom, now costs $105, up from $99. Prices had been jacked up by $4 just last year.

The price of admission applies to anyone 10 years and older entering the Orlando-area theme park. Younger children, aged 3 to 9, pay $99 to enter the Magic Kingdom, compared to $94 last year

Mostly wondering if it was one of those gun free zones folks are so fond of. Mostly worried about Minnie exposing herself, or Goofey attacking my dog. Do they sell recreational drugs there?

If all of this is going on now, I'm definitely getting wife and I an Annual Pass!

We plan on going for a day this summer, even with the cost. Have never been there and looking very forward to the Star Wars part during one of their Star Wars Weekends.

I didn't know their prices were THAT high - all for the privilege of waiting on long lines and being bombarded with Disney merchandise.

I understand there's a private club on a second floor over one of the shops, where you can be served alcohol. Also that there are tons of feral cats roaming around at night, from when they brought in a few to take care of mice and rats.

All my visits when I used to go were free, I loved going there, one of my friend's parents used to get free tickets and pass them on to us. Gosh we had some fun times. I wouldn't pay those prices they are charging today, but, I would have bought a season pass at one time if I needed to, back then I would have been worth it since I live only a 15-20 minute ride away. Before my visit it was a place I thought I'd never want to go, but, after, it was addictive, sooooo much fun. They did have night clubs as well, it didn't cost a whole lot to go to the park in the evening for those, maybe $20.

I don't know, maybe if I could make the rounds of the place as I once did I would spring for a ticket, it was such a great time, but as it is, ever if given a free ticket, I would have to pass. If you think there's no child left in you, spend a little time there, I recommend the off season to avoid the crowds though. :D

It's a lot of fun to go there. I am not the kind of person that can stand in long lines when it's 90+ degrees outside, unless I go in January-February. Even at Universal the lines are long. You can buy a speed pass, but even those lines are getting longer each year. I have visited both several times, so I am content now to do something else, like play golf or go fishing.
