Dna test

AFter 10 years, the wife starts to think that their kid looks kind of strange, so she gets a DNA test, and finds out that the child is actually from completely different parents.

Wife..."Honey, I have something very serious to tell you"
Husband..."What's up?"
Wife..."Well, according to the DNA test, this child is not ours"
Husband..."Well, you don't remember, do you? When we were leaving the hospital, you noticed the baby had pooped. Then you said, "Please Go change the baby, and I'll wait here". So I went back and got a clean one, and left the dirty one there".

Morale: Never give a man a task he is not qualified for.

I just got my DNA results that I had sent off for a couple of months ago at the urging of my daughters.

No surprises. Except for the 1/16 Crete Indian, I'm a little of this and little of that - Irish, German English, even French and some other stuff.

If I were a dog, I be placed into a pound, since I'm not pure bred.

I just got my kit from Ancestry.com in the mail yesterday and will mail it out today. Anyone else besides "exwisehe" has had it done?

The reason I am having it done is that I long ago saw a photo of my father when he was 8 and he looked vaguely Asian, Mongolian to be exact. Italy was invaded by Genghis Kahn and being Italian I've always wondered, but DNA tests have only recently been available cheap enough to be affordable. Now I'll have to wait 6-8 weeks for the result.

Exwisehe, we are ALL mongrels, except perhaps the aborigines of Australia and maybe Indians in the middle of South American jungles. DonM, that was a funny one, loved it!

I did mine last year. I was hoping to find out something cool, but it came back 100% boring white guy. Roughly 1/2 Eastern Europe which is from my old man's side (Polish) and 1/2 Western Europe from my mother's side (Dutch)

I just did it but the blue liquid did not fall into the spit, tried many times. So annoyed! Contacted them for a possible replacement. Re, your results, I read you can find out if you have matches but it'll cost you more. And, hey, boring is not so bad, at least you're not an Extra Terrestrial.

I had some matches show up. And it didn't cost extra. But they do keep trying to entice you to buy into a somewhat expensive membership where you can find out more.

My results show 46% Great Britian, 23% Irish/Scot/Wales, 21% Scandinavian and the rest a few bits and pieces of mutt. Many of my DNA matches are proven with paper research.

That's good to know that the test can be so accurate.

Ancestry.com replied right away and I was able to get the blue liquid to join the spit, so now have to wait for results. My family is from the middle of Italy, near the eastern shore, but I'm curious to know why my father looked Asian as a boy. Not so much as an adult, though. Like I told exwisehe, we are all basically mutts, with so many wars and invasions and travels through the millennia and the mixing of DNA during that time.
