Now that we are all more health conscious due to the pandemic, it seems that drug ads are proliferating in the US. The reason that I avoid drugs as much as possible is because of the side-effects warnings that accompany them. Today, I Googled to find out more. It was very enlightening! Am I alone or do others avoid possible treatments because of these warnings?

when i went to get my eye done in Goa,India. i had to have a complete medical, while i was wired up for the heart monitor-gram the Doctor asked me for a list of my medication, i told him i took Lansoprazole he wrote it down and said 'yes' pen poised, 'thats it' i told him, he looked at me and said 'your a very lucky man' i smiled 'if i didnt need to take these tabs every day for over forty years then i might agree with you'.... whenever a doctor prescribes an Anti=Biotic for anything that i happen to have wrong, i always ask if there isnt another type of drug he might prescribe, why he asks why i always say "i'm saving Anti-Biotics for the big one when i really need them" they usually agree

Drug ads have become a form of a scare tactic! First they tell you all the wonderful ways the drug will benefit you, than they hit you with "But don't take, blah blah blah drugs, if you have, blah blah blah problems"! Mind control at its finest! Oh yes, than there are those famous, 'Male ENHANSEMENT pill ads! lol

Yes precisely, that's why I'm pleased we don't permit advertising of them here.. :) Nice to see you here again lewkat 🄰
I completely forgot about this site until they recently sent me an email saying I was missed. I guess that sparked me, but then I was struck down with this COVID-19 virus and have been in isolation for eons now, Holly. Apparently I had what the termed a mild case and am now being treated as a carrier. Long story there which I'll not bore you with. Good to see you as well.

Wow. I agree, the first 48 hrs. was the worst for me. I had the test during this time and 3 days later when it came back positive, I was without symptoms and have been ever since. Go figure. I have a history of carrying serious pathogens to others in the past. It began in childhood when I became ill with scarlet fever. Within 24 hours I was fine, up and at 'em as the saying goes, but my next door neighbor came down with it and was bedridden for a month and nearly died. We were the same age and we were always together but he wasn't as tough as I. Poor guy.

Happy you survived it well and finally your hubby as well. Men seem to suffer worse than women. Enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. I am still isolated as a carrier.
