Do fish drink water?

As far as I know Freshwater fish suction all water through their gills, saltwater fish do have to direct the water through their digestive track.

I looked up the answer to this to be sure, and Tish has it precisely correct.

However, below the hit for my search, Google offered the answer to the question: Can a fish survive in milk? (answer is no).

As far as I know fish take their drinks straight up (neat) no water, nor on the rocks and by all means, skip the little umbrellas.
