My 56 yo daughter fell on the ice and hit her head. When I learned of this I sorta panicked. She kept making light of it but in following days she’s had a sore neck, sore collar bone and sore ab’s. she got a pretty good egg on her head. She is agoraphobic, no health insurance, no money, so basically can’t see a Dr.
This was 4 days ago, and is doing better today. My husband showed no concern nor compassion. (He is her step-dad) I feel so all alone in dealing with his nonchalance. He’s made me feel like I’m worrying for nothing. I don’t know how to get him to understand the potential seriousness of this event.
I need him to be my sounding board but he is not. He has issues with my worrying too much. (I have 4 adult children and the 2 oldest have their share of issues. He has 1 adult child in Canada and has issues with him too) And I do not have anyone in my family to talk to.
I guess I’m just looking for someone to hear me - to talk things through with me . If I can find some good listeners, I have other things on my mind too. Thank you for hearing me out. I’ve never reached out like this before.
