Do like summertime

Good evening to all- just got up from supper- I picked the green beans from the garden this morning, and stewed them down with bacon drippings and sliced onions- everything from the garden.
then I made a nice skillet of cornbread.
Sliced up some fresh-picked maters.
Now, if you need more than that on a hot summer evening, you're pretty hard to please.

I picked about a gallon of blueberries this morning for a friend who's repairing a vehicle for me.

When the truck is repaired, I'm loading up kayaks and we're going fishing.

I do love summertime.

I agree, my strawberries are starting to pop now. Sometimes I'll bring some in to share, but it's nice to stand there and munch them right in the yard.
 
I like summertime, I get to play in the garden. My strawberries have been producing for a while and I just love it. I have many blackberries, and the blueberries did ok. It is a busy time of the year for me, with the garden and all. I still enjoy it, it is worth the hassle. Even with the dang groundhogs, but don't you worry groundhog I have a few tricks up my sleeve to catch you, then it is going to be curtains for the groundhog.
 

It has been very nice the past few days. I like taking my poo poo to the park to walk but I'll have to go early to avoid the crowds. She loves the park and so do I.
 
I hate the summer! As much as I love my garden ,hiking and swimming I despise the heat. I go out to my garden in the early morning or late evening and do what needs to be done for the day. I love the spring and fall, even winter because I have so many indoor projects, I never get bored.
 
Normally I like summer time, but this year seems unusually hot, so far (June). We have the humidity here, not dry like out west. :playful:

I'll send over my dogs...no more groundhogs for you...
 
I like the summer... Love the fresh produce from my garden.. and the longer daylight hours.. but, I'm not fond of extreme heat and certainly not the summer bugs.
 
I like summer and never complain about the heat because I remember how
cold the winter was.
Fall is my favourite season but summer is a close second. Like QS I could do without the bugs. :)
 
Although I don't care for the heat, I do enjoy the summer. I just have to do my walking and playing golf early. Or late in the afternoon. I prefer the Fall the best.
