Do men still wear cufflinks??

As part of my ongoing downsizing project I was going through some old jewelry. Most belonging to my in-laws. Found a small box with about 8 pair of cufflinks, from FIL. Do men still wear them? I have been donating most everything to Goodwill. But would cufflinks sell there? Also a lot of real turquoise rings and jewelry belonging to MIL. My husband things I should keep it and wear it..but I am just not a jewelry person, the only ring I wear is my wedding ring.

Yes, L have half dozen pairs - jade, that silver, antique gold heirlooms and so on.

Same here, Lon. I sold all of my gold and diamond cuff-links, tie tacs, tie bars, gold shirt bars, bracelets and I even had a set of black onyx studs with a very small diamond in the middle for my tuxedo shirts that I was able to get rid of. Then, I donated all of the money to my favorite charity, St. Jude's. I didn't take them to a pawn shop, either. I sold everything on craigslist.org. You should have seen this one guy that checked out my stuff. He had a hardness tester to check the diamonds and also some kind of liquid in a bottle with an eye dropper that he used to check to see if my gold was for real. I kept all of my gold and silver neck chains. I have worn a chain everyday since I was 14 y/o. I highlighted the words "gold shirt bars" because I would bet that not too many men have any of them anymore. They are about out of date as tab collars.

I have several pairs. They are very dressy when you get "Dressed Up" but I haven't dressed that way in several years.

Oh, but it's a beautiful sight to see a man dressed like that for a special occasion. Because I prefer the flannel shirt, doesn't mean I can't like sharp, too.

No more cuff links. You need a special shirt to wear them and I haven't seen one around for twenty years. I don't even have one hanging in the closet from yesteryear.

There was something about them that I didn't like. They were always getting caught or something and you couldn't roll up the sleeves unless you took them off.

Cuff links don't work well with tee-shirts, which is what I wear more often than anything else. I will wear long sleeves on a cool day, but they don't have french cuffs.

I used to have a set that I made from Indian head pennies. I don't know where they are.
