Do people still send postcards?

The ones from their vacation spots with a little message like, "Having a wonderful time. Glad you are not here!"

Yes, we send a few while on vacation. It's a tradition between my wife and her sister that goes way back. We also send them to the grandkids in England.

The last time I sent postcards was from Ecuador. I put on the correct postage (verified at the post office) and properly addressed 17 of them. I put them into an official post office collection box. Not a single one of them made it to the intended recipient. Not one. I'm assuming someone at the post office steamed off the stamps and discarded the cards.

End of postcards for me.

I send them when on vacation but only if I know the person has an interest in what I am sending. My brother in law loves classic country music as much as we do so I sent him a couple from Nashville Tennessee but none from Hollywood California because he has no interest in that. I think my friends do the same.

Carefully selected post cards make nice decorations when framed and hung on the wall.

I agree Manatee. This is a post card from the early 50's from my uncle ,now deceased, who was in the army and stationed in Germany . He was my favorite uncle. I had a small shadow box, lined it with a wall paper sample and glued the post card on it. I found thepost card.jpg little china shoes in a flea market and glued them on also. It hangs above my computer and not a day goes by that I don't look at it.

I think any sort of paper card is a waste of money as they are chucked out as soon as the occasion is over. I would prefer all such communications to be done by e-mail.
