Does anyone remember that plastic film you stuck on your black and white tv screen? It was blue on top, kind of pinkish in the center and green on the bottom. That was our first color tv.....hahah. Its funny now but back then it was pretty amazing. It worked great on outdoor scenes, not so good on indoor scenes. Another good memory.
Her is a picture of that film. I cant believe I actually liked it at the time!!!

Nope, but I remember Winky Dink & You:
"The gimmick here was that the boys and girls at home were asked to help Winky-Dink out of a jam by drawing whatever Winky needed (rope, ladder, bridge, etc.) on the TV screen. This was done with the aid of a Winky-Dink Kit which was sold by mail for fifty cents. "We sold millions of those kits" the show's host Jack Barry commented, "It was well thought out."[FONT=&quot][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]You would place the clear piece of plastic that came in the kit over the television screen and connect the dots to create a bridge for Winky Dink to cross to safety, then trace letters at the bottom of the screen to read the secret messages broadcast at the end of the show."

Yep, my grandparents had some sort of film (it was ridged, if I remember correctly) that was supposed to make it look like a color set. They also had a small "color wheel" like those that were used to project color on aluminum Christmas trees that was pointed at the TV screen. Same deal, supposed to make it look like a color TV. Neither did the trick. Not at all.

I don't remember the screen but loved my Winky Dink screen. I may have been a bit to young for it because he went way to fast for me to follow all the lines but I still had fun. I ended up putting it on the piano bench and it left a horrible dull stain that my mom couldn't remove.

Haaaha. Funny how certain things are never forgotten.

I remember that overlay because my brother bought one. I still laugh about that. It was just a rainbow colored clear sheet. I wonder how many of those sold.
