Doesn't your cell phone have a way to block any call that is not from your contacts? Mine does and it's just a $10 burner from Walmart. That's much easier than creating a list.
 
I used to get from 25 to 30 a day on my land line but since I purchased my Digitone blocking device, I hardly even get one. When I do, I block it and they can't call again. Today, my phone has only rang one time and this was my friend. You can block by area code OR phone number with it. You can block up to 1000 numbers with it. I have checked it many time to see how many it has blocked and now most of them have given up and don't even try. It is well worth the money which wasn't that much!!!!

You're welcome. I just glad to help someone block these crooks! If your's works like mine does it is so easy especially if you want to block by phone number. When I purchased mine, they were good to help me with it.
 
The show 'On The Money', on ABC addressed this. They said violations of the do not call list are the # 1 complaint to the FCC. They said to report violators to: complaints.donotcall.gov
 
I get quite a few on my landline even though I'm on the do not call list. I usually don't answer unfamiliar numbers, and like Deb I sometimes go to the 800notes site to see if there are other complaints about a particular number, and will add my 2 cents if I have the time. I have to say though that it's less than it was awhile back, for some time there the phone was ringing off the hook and when it was late at night I'd answer sometimes and tell them off.
 
My landline from AT&T does have a blocking feature - I can block up to 100 numbers. Nomorobo has also blocked about 85% of the junk calls I get.
