There's nothing funnier-looking than a guilty dog. They know they're lower than a snake's belly....they're toast....and they're really, really sorry about whatever it is that they did. They'll do it again, of course, but they'll be just as sorry the next time, too. A cat now....it's impossible to make a cat feel guilty. They.just.don't.care.
My sister's pug once ran up to a lady sitting on the ground in a park and peed in her purse. Not ON her purse, mind you....IN her purse.
