Anyone want to count?
Anyone want to count?
From what I've noticed since I've been here is that it seems to be about even. There are a *lot* of members that never post, though... do you mean just active members?I'm guessing we have more ladies

Doesn't that just mean they're more talkative and not to indicate the gender division?Out of the 20 highest posting members... 16 are female !
yes probably... but having been here 9 years, I'm certain there are more women than men as membersDoesn't that just mean they're more talkative and not to indicate the gender division?![]()
I agree. We canāt assume that all membership is honest about their gender. In fact, we canāt assume that all members are being honest with what they are posting. Itās the internet after all. No offence to the membership here.Doesn't that just mean they're more talkative and not to indicate the gender division?![]()
lol.. well I would think it there is anyone here presenting as the opposite gender .. then it will be extremely small..and make little difference to the Male/Female ratioI agree. I always check the "what's new" link... and more times than not, there are equal or nearly equal men and ladies. I'll admit there are a few people I haven't "officially" spoken with yet that I seriously don't know their gender by the screen-name alone, but often it's pretty close to evenly divided when it comes to who's online and posting at any given time.So if someone signs into this thread we can count them. A member is a member no matter how often they post.
That would have to be ACTIVE users and I'm not sure that would be possible. And is it a requirement to register with gender? I think it was there, but if it's not mandatory, I assume many don't offer that information when registering.@Matrix .. can you tell without going to too much trouble.. what the ratio of men to women are members of this forum ?
Hover your mouse over the member's name.. then click on the name, and then click ''About'' most people will have put their gender even if they haven't added any other Info..I always check the "what's new" link... and more times than not, there are equal or nearly equal men and ladies. I didnāt register with a gender and Iām ok with anyone thinking Iām a guy. That would have to be ACTIVE users and I'm not sure that would be possible. And is it a requirement to register with gender? Yep, I didn't remember it being a requirement. Wouldn't bother me, either... maybe I should have called myself "Callmeheyyou."I didnāt register with a gender and Iām ok with anyone thinking Iām a guy.
This is more balanced than the s.x ratio for the U.S. which is 81 men to 100 women for the age group 65+.Ladies are about 10% more than gentlemen, only counting active members.
I'm not.I'm female.
Thanks Matrix,Ladies are about 10% more than gentlemen, only counting active members.

That does more or less track the ratio in the population as a whole, in the US anyway.
