Do women become like their mothers?

I look like my father's side of the family, but I have my mother's mannerisms. No, I'm not like my mother, she was a much better person than I'll ever be. I'm more like my father. In fact, my mother used to call me "a chip off the old block."

I have traits from both sides. I wish I got more of my mother's. She was very generous and a good sport.
I got my dad's addictive personality and dry humor. I got my mom's neurotic tendencies. 🙄

I have my mothers personality, just not as quiet as hers.
Some of her positive ways are now mine, but not all of
them. She was a very special kind hearted woman, a bundle
of love and caring...I think that my medical/health are similar
to my moms, except for one thing...

"Do women become like their mothers?"

OMG, I hope never 🤣.

I see my mother in my looks but thats as far as it goes ,and im not like my father either, I have my own personality

Some family friends for years after my mom died in 2003 kept telling me I look like her. I didn't think so but as I grow older I do see the resemblence with the gray hair
My mom use to write in her yearly journal all the top stories that happen every yr,/family members/ friends who had died what her kids{my brother& sister&I} had done that yr. She kept track of books she read,in margin would write a short critique if she liked or didn't like it
I have kept that tradition going I started my yearly journal in 1988, I also write in the famous/well known people that have died every year. The things I did at church with church friends, what my siblings did I started my book journal in 2000,every book I've read each yr is in it,also write a short critique if I like the book or not
I really like those habits. I love reading and wish I had kept note of what books I enjoyed and why. Also, how valuable it is to write family history and to keep a proper daily diary. So much gets forgotten otherwise over the years.

I am like my mother in the ways I keep house, take pride in cooking and cleaning and doing things for my family. Simple traditional things, perhaps old fashioned but it is amazing what we learn from our mum's even if we didn't think we had. We might take our mums a bit for granted when we were kids but later we realise how hard they worked and the skills we inherited just by watching them.
