Do you adjust the picture on your TV ever?

I just adjusted the picture 's tint and brightness and sharpness and intensity of colors. I also ran the auto channels finder to see if one channel is on there that I have been missing .

I like how the picture looks now as it's not as bright and it's easier to make things out now.

Yes I do have a lot of spare time now 😉

Occasionally we have to re-tune the TV because channels have been moved. As for fiddling with the knobs, that's a thing of the past.
Because USA and UK use different systems NTSC ans PAL, there may be some difference in appearance when converting one to another.
NTSC used to be known as 'Never twice the same colour'.

I just got a new updated cable box. It's supposed to have 25% more something or other. All the channels have different numbers. The picture is a bit off now. Tonight, I'll be fidgeting with brightness, sharpness, etc. You wouldn't want to watch reruns if they didn't look their best???????

I often flip between the picture "auto" selection and "low power" nighttime mode, which I have customized even darker. I also sometimes flip the audio between its "auto" setting and "theatre" mode for many movies.

I'll rescan for channels every so often, but in reality I very very rarely watch OTA TV any more. Probably only for local coverage of severe weather to be honest. Most of what is on there just isn't watchable. Soaps, ever-dumber game shows, and maggot-gagging wokeness that does not reflect society. No thanks.

What is OTA TV?

Have been OTA for decades and receive about 100 channels on an older HD 32 inch set. My 2-story townhouse tends to be blocked by tall sweetgum trees and cloudy stormy weather always affects reception. So usually need to move a pair of connected rabbit ears around in my living room to receive different channels. Otherwise the other set settings never need to touch, and am fine with mediocre.

Stream from the web to my laptop. Haven't turned the ROKU/TV on in 4 weeks. Streaming takes up all my viewing needs with absolutely no ads. Watch Prime, Netflix, STARTZ, BritBox, BC Select, TUBI, Masterpiece,,,etc. Plenty to watch, SO & DD watch their Chromebooks. Everyone's happy & they can't hear my sound blasting them out.. No adjustment needed. All still cheaper than Xfinity!

The 50 inch ROKU/TV just sits there gathering dust. Will probably sell it, cheap/w remote & stick. I have a 1TB HD loaded with movies that haven't the light of day for weeks either, play from one of my USB ports

That sounds like a great TV. Mine is a Samsung Smart TV I got back in 2016. It's 48 inch. It has a good picture if I can get it tuned right.
