Do you arrive 10 minutes late or are you always early?

Do you dawdle to your destination? Are you always in a hurry because your time management skills are lacking?
I’m one of those who is always early because I never rush for anything or anyone. I even get to work 45 minutes before start time to have breakfast. Never rush. Time everything so there is no need to rush

I try to schedule my appointments for late morning or early afternoon. That way I avoid the worst of Atlanta traffic and I am usually 15 to 20 minutes early. If I am meeting friends for breakfast I am sometimes as much as 10 minutes late. The stray neighborhood cat seems to appear for breakfast as I am leaving. Or I get a phone call. It gives the others a chance to chat before I arrive and we usually linger for 2 to 3 hours anyway so no one is offended.

I'm not paranoid about it either way. I'm normally early or on-time and hope that the person I'm meeting sees it the same way. Medical and business appointments are (in my mind) different than the "see you for breakfast" type of get-together.

If I'm early (or late) it's not the end of the world, and if the other person is a bit late, so-be-it. There's a hell of a lot more important things in life than "absolute" promptness.

That being said, I think that I'm on time far more often than not and have received that courtesy in return.
