Do you binge watch Netflix?

It seems that Netflix has done a study of viewing habits and found that people spend about two and a half hours a day bingeing on a release of an entire season of shows such as Breaking Bad and Orange is the New Black. I generally will watch a show while eating for about an hour. What do you do?

My daughter occasionally borrowed a friends account. But now has an Amazon stick of her own.

I have yet to experience it. But am looking forward to catching up on Game of Thrones.

Yes to binge watching. Orange is the New Black and most recently, the show Grace and Frankie. My wife watched it more than I did, but it's a fun show. A few years ago my wife and I both came down with the flu at the same time. We spent a whole day in bed catching up on Downton Abbey, which we'd never seen previously. It was available "on demand" from our cable provider.

Yes, I admit I binge watch on Netflix. Anxiously awaiting Orange is the New Black, just finished Bloodline. I'll do this more during the winter months than summer.

Thanks, Pappy, I'll see if I can get the Reford one on Netflix. And, Ruthanne, why did you dump Netflix?

Netflix has nothing I want to watch 95% of the time. I'm mostly interested in Netflix original series. The ones that interest me the most are Daredevil, Jessica Jones, etc. Yes, I will binge watch those shows.

Mostly I see nothing of interest at Netflix. It's mostly old movies or TV shows, maybe the kind of thing I saw in the "Ma and Pa" local DVD rental stores back in the 1980s. In those days, I went to Blockbuster for the new, more interesting stuff. In my opinion, Netflix is the most baffling web site. It's like they're trying to hide their content. I hate those damned images that move across the screen. Just put it out there and let me easily navigate the site.

You'd think Netflix would at least have "Netflix Original" shows right out there for me to easily find and load. These days I'll only renew my Netflix subscription when they offer the next Marvel Superhero show. Then I'll cancel again after I've binge-watched the new episodes.

I have the Netflix app on my IPad. It's much easier to find a movie I want to watch and then go to Netflix on tv and go right to the show I want to see. Or, I can watch it right on my IPad. No extra charge for this service.

I basically do the same thing, only on my PC. I find what I want to watch on the PC and then go straight to the show on the Roku. It's less irritating and faster to do it that way .

I thought I'd revive this thread since many of us are sheltering in place.

My wife and I like watching a show during dinner and afterwards sometimes. With most of our shows over for the season we were looking for something new. My daughter-in-law loves Queer Eye so we started watching that a little over two weeks ago and love it. Unfortunately we're already half way through season 4 and we're not sure what we'll watch after that.

If you've got a Roku or similar thing, try a free trial of Britbox and or Acorn TV. Lots of good content on there.

Also, there is a huge treasure trove of shows on free YouTube. I find something I want to watch by using my computer and cast it over to my TV through the Roku.

Actually, I have recently cancelled my subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu and Prime, as I was not watching them enough to justify charges, Most of the prime movies I wanted to watch charged a rental fee... Plus I am not buying as much on Amazon any more. With so many brick and mortar stores doing curbside pickup, I am going that route now,
I get enough to view with cable. And great content and movies (free) on YouTube
