Do you BOYCOTT stores because of their political or religious beliefs ?

It depends. I do not go out of my way to patronize stores that do not match my beliefs, if I have other options. If a store or business uses their values to deny service to paying customers because of their minority status, or for being LGBTQ then yes, I would chose not to go there. That being said, I would not go and tell ALL my friends not to shop there, and would just share my opinion if asked.

So you're saying your love of money is stronger than any moral conviction. That makes me sad for you. I sense you wouldn't want me to pray for you, so I'm sitting on my wallet in your name for a while...

Geeez, could you sit on your wallet for me too.
Yes, there are times when my economic situation may over ride my moral convictions. I guess it must be nice to be an MNO person who can afford their moral convictions over all else. Just wondering... have you ever been poor enough to have to chose food and clothing for your young ones over moral convictions?

MNO= (money no object) should you be wondering. :)

I never concern myself with the politics of a given owner/management team at stores I choose to give my business to UNLESS there is such an egregious wrong, as I see it, perpetrated by the aforementioned, to the point where I can't consider putting my money in their pocket(s). A good example, for me: I refuse to buy new, foreign cars, even though I know US workers do work at their US plants. I still feel, perhaps wrongly, although I doubt it, that most of my purchase dollars will, ultimately, fly right out of the US.

I don't usually even pay attention but if a business chooses to slap me in the face with their beliefs they've probably seen me for the last time. It's only the last few years that we've had stores or businesses pushing religious convictions. I NEVER heard crap like this mentioned in the 40's or 50's, especially when the country stood as one during and shortly after WWII.

We've slid a long ways down the hill since then and the bickering over the last year or two is atrocious, IMHO!!

I never boycotted a national chain due to company beliefs, but then I never had a reason to go to "Hobby Lobby" or "Toys R Us".

I do try not to do business with overtly Christian Merchants. Especially ones who have tokens of their faith displayed in their business.
I was raised as a Christian, I have deep respect for Christians. I was also raised with the idea that your relationship with God and your savior was a personal one.

I despise Evangelicals, despise them. When you choose to shove the icons and symbols of your belief in my face, I choose not to support your mission.

If you are a Christian, Jesus and the Father know you are members of their fan club, any public display of that fact is solely posturing and showing off to elevate your standing with others of the same belief.

If I started boycotting stores because of their political or religious beliefs, I'd have to then start boycotting family and friends because of their beliefs.

Until such time as I'm not allowed in the store unless I sign an affidavit promising not to eat pork or vote for a certain party or cover my head or hate people of a certain sexual orientation, I'll let people adhere to whatever it is that they feel strongly about. AS LONG as they let me adhere to whatever *I* feel strongly about, that is.

Yes, I shop at WalMart and Hobby Lobby.

Generally no, with the exception of the NFL. I saw the kneeling during the National Anthem for myself. As a Veteran, that particular form of free speech bothered me. Other than that, no, I don't boycott stores because of their religious / political beliefs. They are entitled to theirs so long as they recognize I'm entitled to mine. Also, if one is not careful, one could boycott ones self out of existence but, that would be taking things to the extreme . I applaud everyone having the right to his / her own opinion. I do not support anyone trying to force their views / opinions on others in general and me in particular. Don...

I don't shop Wallyworld. I could care less about their beliefs or political tendencies. I believe that while there are a few good bargains, most of the products are higher than other stores. Some say that 10% of your purchases are in error-more than it should be. And at Walmart, it is the price at the register that counts, NOT what ANY STICKER SAYS. That clerk, just zipping along as you check out, gives you only a fraction of a second to spot an over charge. I don't like their business practices.
