Do You Buy Bottled Water?

That's true. When I visited relatives in Florida, the water in their well had a sulfur taste/smell to me, but they didn't seem to notice it.

We drink only bottled water here at home (not individual bottles-we buy the 5 gal. bottles and have a dispenser). Our well water has a very strong sulphur smell as does most of the well water in our county. We are at the base of a large volcano. Our well water is safe to drink-we have it tested regularly-but we don`t drink or cook with it. I should be used to it as our family cabin here where I spent every weekend year `round since the age of 2 had the same smell, and we showered and washed dishes in it always. We did always bring 5 gal. bottles for drinking though-even way back then.

Usually have a case on hand, but just use mainly to take when travelling outside of local area. We have a direct osmosis system that produces very good drinking water, we use it for cooking & drinking(makes great coffee). I take a couple litres a day to work, as the water supplied there is....borderline unsafe.

All depends on where you live, here in the Thames valley and all around London, the water is very 'hard' the kettle becomes full of scale. So we have a water filter jug, which is efficient and cost effective, never buy bottled water.

We have a dirct osmosis system as well but it just doesn`t get rid of the sulphur smell. At least it does get rid of all the other stuff that used to turn my hair orange and stain all the glassware and appliances.
