Do You buy clothes online?

I see many retailers who sell clothes exclusively online, even "gently used" clothing. Do you shop for clothes online?

I do not, though I have bought shoes online. I would just rather go to a store, and actually look at what I am buying, and not trust the size choices without being able to see the item. I am sure that when I am less mobile, and not able to drive places, I may be more apt to consider online shopping for clothes. But for now, I think clothing is where I draw the line.

I had a friend who did almost all her clothes shopping through catalogs. But, she was old school, as she would get the print catalog, fill out the order form and send the order in with a check to pay. She had a computer, and used the internet, but did not always "trust it"

I buy a few things online but only from companies that I've dealt with in the past.

When it became difficult for my mother to shop I bought most of her clothing from National. The sizes were accurate, the quality was good. The prices were slightly higher than I would like but when I factored in the convenience it was a good deal for our situation.

I buy clothes from Land's End. Their size I use works well. I haven't been disappointed. I buy some clothes on amazon but they are usually socks and underclothes. I find they are alright, too.

QVC has a couple of lines that fit me perfectly. I love them and returns are easily done. I have had to return one thing from them. When I was working I bought all my slacks and tops from them. Still wearing them.

I buy underwear online. Tops/blouses once in awhile. Bought a pair of sweatpants and a nightshirt a couple months ago. All were fine, no problem. Also a pair of jeans, but the quality was a disappointment. They were a bit large or me, but smaller size wasn't available. I didn't want to deal with returning, so I kept them....they weren't expensive. But I didn't order from that place again.

Biggest surprise: Few yrs ago I ordered a winter coat on sale online and kept my fingers crossed. It fit perfect and quality was excellent - I was thrilled! :)

The few times I bought something online I was disappointed, either in the size or color. No, I don't buy clothes or shoes online anymore, I really need to see them in person and try them on.

Yes. I hardly ever walk into a store any longer.

Me too, except for me it's never. Since I retired, I don't need much of a wardrobe, and I opt for comfort over fashion. I would like to build a shrine to the person who invented elastic. Through the years I've bought for quality, all cotton and all linen, and I still have most of those things. Good fabric makes all the difference.

I'm very picky about shoes and only wear certain brands. It's easy to buy online because I know their sizing. Same with socks, although I've recently begun using a new brand (new to me) for walking and tai-chi, and I like them a lot better than the old brand.

Same with bras. I bought a bolt of charmeuse silk years ago and made the rest of my underthings with it. They're still going strong but I have enough silk to replace things if need be.

I couldn't find any flannel pajama bottoms I liked this year, so I bought a bolt of black flannel and made a nice-size stack of bottoms. I have a stash of bright t-shirts that now go with all of my pants. When I'm home, that's usually what I'm wearing.

Except for business attire, I've bought almost all of my clothing from L.L. Bean and a few similar places for the last fifty years. Most places come and go, but Bean was there before I was born, even before my father was born. They're still there in Freeport, Maine and open 24 hours every day. I was actually there when they had the store with the creaky stairway. I ordered from them back in the days when we called it mail order.

The two best things in Maine are lobster rolls and L.L. Bean. Pick up your maple syrup in Vermont on the way back,

I don't buy clothes online. I've found that the sizes and quality vary so much and so many times I will put an item on in the store and find that even the color doesn't look good on me. I don't like returning things either. Once in awhile I might order something from a store near me and pick it up at the store if I can't find the size or color I wanted while shopping. That way I can try it on and take it right back to the desk if I don't like it.

I love LLBean and I've been shopping with them forever.

Maple syrup is another of my regular online buys. Vermont is a long way from home.

I don't , but my daughter does and if something is a hair too small for her she gives it to me rather than return it so that works out well. And if it's a top that is too low cut (I am a prude) I give it to one of my grandson's GFs. So we all wind up happy.

Yes, I will buy clothes from Land's End or others that are pretty consistent on sizing. I bought a top from Belk and a jacket from jc penney on Black Friday. Big mistake, returned both. They looked nothing like the pictures. I chose those stores so I could return them locally if needed.

My Wilson socks.......online, because no one sells them in a store here. Have checked.

Wife's winter wrap-around scarf's, my summer shorts, wife's turtleneck pullovers.......all bought online for Christmas.

I do all of the online buying of whatever we buy online. Actually, when I was working in Purchasing Department for companies, I had to buy some items, like batteries, online using a company credit card.

I bought a pair of pants at Penny's store. I liked them. They didn't have any more at the store, so I got them at Penny's online. But then I had Penny's stock number, so I knew what I was getting. For clothes, I have to feel the fabric and to actually see them, not some retouched pic of them.

I've ordered clothes through Amazon, but they never look like or fit like they're supposed. I have ordered from Land's End, however, and have been pleased.

I really don't like sending things back--too much time and trouble. I end up giving them away to the Kidney Foundation monthly pickup. I'm really don't intend to order clothes again anymore.

I bought an absolutely awesome bathrobe from "The Woman Within" . ( Plus size store ) They also have very high quality Nightgowns very reasonably priced. Those are the only clothes I buy online.

Yes, I have bought clothes online. You have to be careful on amazon because many of their clothes are from China and 2 sizes smaller than ours. Learned that the hard way. I'm not buying online anymore, though, can't afford to. Now I am shopping at the thrift shop.

Yes I have, but only from stores that I am familiar with. American Eagle is one of my favorites.
