Do you dress "old"?

I dress for comfort - never was too concerned about being in style. I don't buy many clothes, and the few items I do buy (except underwear and shoes) I get in thrift stores.
Same here. Don't follow trends. Still have problems with dresses. Less often do I wear them nowadays. Too much of a tomboy, maybe... But still feel too much on show lol. Some dresses do make me look older so I usually leave those on peg.

Go for maxi sun dresses, comfortable, light and hides all the wrong things lol!

You won't find many who wear a zoot suit, whatever their age. What you might come across in the UK are Teddy Boys at re-enactment events. There's was the fashion of the 1950's, it was a long jacket, like my zoot suit, based on the turn of the 20th century style when Edward VII followed Victoria to the throne. Back then it was known as The Edwardian Frock Coat, Edward was seen wearing the frock coat and that's probably how it got it's name. The nickname of Edward is Ted, my guess is that's how The Teddy Boys acquired their moniker too.

Do you dress "old'"? I'm not a clothes horse. Most of my clothes were bought when "Cheers" was first on TV. They are extremely stylish, well, for the 1990s. And I do wear white socks with black shoes, but that's because it's hard to find black socks that are as good, and last like white ones. Because of my spinal problems I can't wear a belt, so I have to use suspenders. And there's nothing that says "super stylish" like suspenders. I'm a walking geezer.

I do dress oldish.Always comfortable trousers with tee shirt tops and ankle boots. It's like a uniform as I just get different colours of same way style. I used to be so fashionable but now pure comfort is it.

In hot weather, it’s linen or cotton dresses. If it’s cool, then it’s jeans with a t-shirt and shirt. I’ve found a shirt more versatile than a sweater. If going out, I’ll wear one of my various jackets.

What caused the decline of formality? Today we dress far less formal than in the past and we dine in a less formal manner. Look at photos leading up to the end of the 1960's, why did people dress better than they do now? In old photos it seemed as if everyone dressed up, even just to do the weekly shop. Look in the past newspapers, even bank robbers wore a collar and tie. What has caused the change and has society changed too?
